Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Team Member in the Produce department to perform processing and merchandising duties, ensuring safe, fresh products and courteous service. You will support store programs and adhere to health and safety regulations while delivering a positive company image.

You will cut fruits and vegetables, maintain quality, manage sampling, keep areas clean, and assist customers with product information.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform duties in produce and merchandising with adherence to safety and sanitation rules.
• Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and Team Members.
• Must follow Standard Operating Procedures and be prepared to perform duties described in other team member roles.

Responsibilities

• Cuts fruits and vegetables following safety and sanitation rules.
• Ensures product meets Whole Foods Market guidelines for quality and preparation.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary department and records sweep logs.
• Arrives on time, well-groomed, and ready to work; attends trainings and meetings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling when appropriate.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storage, rotation, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties and ensures accurate pricing.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned by leadership.
