Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Berkeley seeks entry-level team members for the Produce Department. You will cut and prep fruits and vegetables, maintain quality, stock, and merchandise while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service to customers and team members.

Adhere to safety, sanitation, and company SOPs, and participate in required trainings. You will perform opening, mid, and closing duties, ensure accurate pricing, and handle lifting up to 50 pounds in a fast-paced environment while supporting

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Stand/walk 6-8 hours in an 8-hour shift.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Cuts fruits and vegetables following safety rules.
• Maintains product quality and preparation per WFM guidelines.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Keeps department clean and logs cleanliness checks.
• Arrives on time and attends trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Adheres to Weights and Measures, health, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Maintains a clean and sanitary work and shopping environment.
• Performs opening/closing duties and ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
