Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Sarasota is seeking a Team Member in the Produce department to support processing and merchandising responsibilities. You will ensure quality and safety standards while delivering friendly, efficient service to customers and Team Members.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Customer service and team orientation are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Cuts fruits and vegetables, following all safety and sanitation rules.
• Ensures product meets WFM guidelines for quality and preparation.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Cleans department continuously and maintains sweep logs.
• Arrives to work station on time, groomed, dressed and ready to work; works all scheduled shifts and attends trainings.
• Provides excellent customer service and addresses customer needs promptly.
• Maximizes sales through proper prepping, storing, rotating, stocking, and merchandising.
• Follows health, sanitation, and Weights & Measures procedures.
• Maintains a clean, safe working/shopping environment; operates equipment per standards.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; ensures pricing accuracy.
• Reports safety hazards and violations immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
