Nino Salvaggio International Marketplace in Bloomfield Hills, MI, is seeking an Assistant Produce Prep Manager to help oversee the produce prep department at the Bloomfield location.

You will supervise daily operations, assist in scheduling, training, and ensuring product quality and freshness, while working closely with the Produce Manager to optimize workflow and customer service. This hourly role offers a 45–50 hour week and opportunities for leadership growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in customer service or food retail preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Cut and prepare produce items for cups, trays, and salads.
• Direct and supervise all department functions to meet sales, gross profit, and customer service goals.
• Coordinate production, merchandising, and distribution with Produce Manager(s).
• Oversee training, ordering, time/attendance, and policy adherence in the department.
• Interview and train associates in Produce/Produce Prep as applicable.
• Maintain knowledge of department products and varieties, with attention to quality and freshness.
• Plan product distribution and stocking on a per-shift basis.
• Assist in inventory control and receiving procedures to ensure quality and rotation.
• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Motivate associates to achieve sales and customer service targets.
