Job summary

Redner's Markets, Inc. in Levittown, PA is seeking team members to maintain and operate the cut fruit and vegetable area in accordance with department and company standards.

You will verify quality, count, and freshness of products; prepare merchandise for the salad bar; trim, price, and package items; and ensure a neat, clean prep area while complying with safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills to count product and match invoices.
• Strong communication skills for assisting customers.
• Dexterity in hands for trimming and packaging products.
• Ability to unload, transport and place merchandise in specified areas.
• Lifting up to 30 pounds for up to 50% of shift.
• Standing for most of the scheduled work shift.

Responsibilities

• Communicate any temperature failures to department and store management.
• Cut and trim product for replenishing the pre-cut sections during the second shift.
• Greet customers and be observant to people in the store.
• Abide by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Verify and communicate the quality, count, and freshness of all products.
• Prepare all merchandise in the salad bar and cut fruit and vegetable areas. (Trimming, pricing, cooking)
• Maintain a neat and clean Prep area in accordance to department and company standards.
• Maintenance of equipment and housekeeping of coolers, preparation, and sales area.
• Conduct and record temperature checks on all refrigerated coolers as well as soup temperatures.
• Communicate any temperature failures to department and store management.
• Cut and trim product for replenishing the pre-cut sections during the second shift.
• Greet all customers and be observant to people in the store.
• Abide by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.

SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Monitor inventory and supplies and notify Produce Manager when orders are needed.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

• Basic math skills and ability to accurately count product and match against invoices.
• Must have strong communication skills for assisting customers.
• Must have dexterity in hands to enable trimming and packaging of product.
• Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specified areas.
• Must be able to lift up to thirty (30) pounds, up to fifty (50) percent of the time.
• Must be able to stand upright for most of your scheduled work shift.
