Job summary

This role does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to exceptional member service. ServSafe certification is required and BJ’s covers the cost.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in produce operations, grocery retail, or food handling.
• Strong knowledge of produce handling, quality standards, and food safety guidelines.
• Ability to analyze data and identify process improvements to optimize efficiency.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Email).

Responsibilities

• Lead produce department operations and maintain produce freshness.
• Monitor inventory levels and execute timely replenishment.
• Inspect and rotate products to company standards.
• Ensure accurate labeling and pricing.
• Sanitation, safety compliance, and adherence to ServSafe guidelines.
• Assist with seasonal promotions and merchandising directives.
• Escalate operational concerns and maintenance needs as necessary.
