Job summary

Wegmans Medford is seeking a store backroom associate responsible for receiving, unloading, and organizing shipments to ensure products are stocked, rotated, and ready for customers. You will help keep the store running smoothly by maintaining an efficient backroom and sales floor.

Key duties include unloading deliveries safely, sorting and staging products, maintaining cleanliness, reporting discrepancies, and applying FIFO to preserve freshness.

• Maintain a clean and organized backroom and storage area
• Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or inventory issues to management
• Rotate products using FIFO to maintain freshness
• Follow sanitation practices and handle products in cold temperatures, with lifting 8-32 pounds on average and up to 50+ pounds occasionally

What You'll Do

• Unload daily deliveries safely and efficiently
• Sort, organize and stage products in the appropriate storage areas
• Maintain a clean and organized backroom and storage area
• Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or inventory issues to management
• Rotate products following FIFO (first in, first out) practices to maintain freshness
• Properly handle products, use equipment, and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines
• Work in cold temperatures; lifting 8-32 pounds on average with maximum weight lifted greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequently
