Job summary

Wegmans Food Markets in King of Prussia, PA is seeking a stocking specialist to receive, unload and organize shipments, ensuring products are rotated and ready for customers. You’ll help maintain an efficient backroom and ensure the sales floor is well stocked.

Responsibilities include unloading deliveries, staging products, reporting discrepancies, using equipment safely, and handling heavy loads in cold environments while following FIFO practices and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to unload daily deliveries safely
• Ability to sort, organize and stage products
• Maintain clean, organized backroom and storage areas
• Report discrepancies and inventory issues to management
• Follow FIFO (first in, first out) to keep products fresh
• Capable of lifting 8–32 pounds on average, with heavier lifts up to 50+ pounds occasionally
• Work in cold temperatures and follow sanitation and safety guidelines

Job description

In this position, you will be responsible for receiving, unloading, and organizing incoming shipments to ensure products are stocked, rotated, and ready for customers. This role helps keep the store running smoothly by maintaining an efficient and accurate backroom and sales floor.

What You'll Do

• Unload daily deliveries safely and efficiently
• Sort, organize and stage products in the appropriate storage areas
• Maintain a clean and organized backroom and storage area
• Report discrepancies, damaged goods, or inventory issues to management
• Rotate products following FIFO (first in, first out) practices to maintain freshness
• Properly handle products, use equipment, and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines
• Work in cold temperatures; lifting 8-32 pounds on average with maximum weight lifted greater than 50 pounds occasionally to frequently
