Job summary

Heinen’s is seeking a Retail Professional to uphold the Diamond Difference standards across our Illinois locations. You will prioritize daily tasks, develop knowledge of produce, and maintain a clean, safe environment for customers and team members.

Responsibilities include planning attractive displays, ordering products, pulling shrink, stocking and merchandising, and staying up-to-date on product knowledge. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Sense of urgency with the ability to work independently to complete daily tasks.
• Ability to comply with all company policies and standards.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Production-driven with the ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in temperatures ranging from 0 to 50 degrees.
• Willingness to work the non-traditional five-day schedule, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize daily work based on varying business needs.
• Acquire and share knowledge of produce.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment for customers and associates.
• Cull department for quality control, scans and records shrink.
• Take and fill special orders for customers.
• Put away orders.
• Plan attractive produce displays, using color and texture to enhance the department.
• Order product.
• Pull shrink daily.
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products within the department.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
