Heinen’s is seeking a Retail Professional to uphold the Diamond Difference Standards in our Illinois stores. You will assist customers, handle payments, maintain product knowledge, and support daily operations.

Responsibilities include operating cash registers, scanners and following procedures for coupons and alcohol, while ensuring accurate packing and safety. A positive, team-oriented attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong sense of urgency and daily task focus.
• Comfortable with repetitive tasks while standing.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Willing to work non-traditional schedules, including weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Operate scanners, scales, cash registers and other electronics.
• Accept payments with accurate pricing and quantities.
• Follow store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards or items like alcohol.
• Follow company standards for proper packing.
• Acquire and share knowledge of the store and products.
• Prioritize daily work based on business needs.
• Attend required corporate meetings and training classes.
• Comply with all personal and food safety standards.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
