Job summary

Labatt Food Service seeks a Produce Sales and Marketing Specialist to buy and sell fresh produce through the company’s sales force and its 3,500+ customers. The role involves learning all aspects of the produce business—from growing regions worldwide to sourcing product from manufacturers and brokers, and selling produce through a broad field sales team.

The successful candidate will work with the Produce Manager, develop technical product expertise on vendor lines, and help plan and execute

Qualifications

• College degree in RHIM, Marketing, or a business-related field.
• Food service and/or produce experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with food service directors, chefs, managers, and owners.
• Microsoft Office expertise is mandatory.
• Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Buy and sell fresh produce through the company’s sales force.
• Learn all aspects of the produce business from growing regions to sourcing from manufacturers and brokers.
• Sell produce through a large customer base with the sales representatives.
• Develop technical product expertise on all produce vendor lines.
• Create and execute sales and marketing plans to grow vendor lines across the customer network.
