Healthy Living seeks an Assistant Produce & Floral Manager to run daily department operations at 129 Market St, Williston, VT. You will train staff, manage ordering and inventory, and maintain strong vendor relations while ensuring appealing merchandising and great guest service.

This role requires leadership in a fast-paced grocery setting and a willingness to collaborate with cross-functional teams. Starting wage is $20 per hour with consideration for prior grocery experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2+ years retail leadership experience preferred in grocery/natural foods.
• Strong knowledge of produce, ordering systems, and inventory management.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Flexible schedule including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of the Produce & Floral department and ensure smooth workflow.
• Lead and supervise staff through training, motivation, scheduling, and delegation.
• Oversee ordering and inventory including replenishment and vendor communication.
• Ensure appealing merchandising with displays, signage, and shelf stocking.
• Deliver outstanding guest service and model high standards for team interactions.
• Monitor sales, margins, and product performance to meet departmental goals.
• Maintain cleanliness and food safety according to health standards.
• Participate in hiring and performance reviews with department manager.
• Communicate with other departments and stakeholders.
