Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Produce & Floral Department Lead to support the Produce & Floral Department Manager in delivering an outstanding guest experience. You’ll guide your team with care, ensure the department looks its best, and coach staff to grow while solving problems quickly.

You’ll report to the Produce & Floral Department Manager, embodying a culture of leadership, hospitality, excellence, and teamwork in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of progressive management experience in supermarkets, retail, or related fields.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to develop high-performing teams.
• Proven ability to deliver an exceptional guest experience while meeting goals.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Basic proficiency with POS systems, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Help monitor labor schedules to meet productivity and budget goals.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels and support ordering.
• Act as a resource for team members and provide guidance in the manager’s absence.
• Model impeccable hospitality by engaging guests and creating positive experiences.
• Help implement merchandising strategies and promotional plans to maximize sales.
• Assist in analyzing department financial and performance metrics.
• Collaborate with department leaders to drive store success.
• Leverage available technology to perform tasks efficiently.
