Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a Full Time Produce Management Assistant to supervise and coordinate the Produce Department, and potentially the Floral Department. You will manage up to 20 associates, delivering direction and evaluation in line with company policies and applicable laws.

The role emphasizes interviewing and training staff, planning and directing work, and handling performance reviews, rewards, and disciplinary actions as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to participate in required training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 20 associates in the Produce Department; may supervise the Floral Department as well.
• Provide direction, coordination, and evaluation of these departments in accordance with Harris Teeter policies and laws.
• Interviewing and training associates; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
