Job summary

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Knowledge of department operations including people management, merchandising, inventory and scheduling.
• Strong written and verbal communication with employees, customers and supervision.
• Ability to read scales and prices and ensure accuracy.
• Produce work experience in food preparation or related field.
• Dependable and demonstrates integrity in all actions.

Responsibilities

• Develop maximum customer relations by department personnel through friendliness and policy adherence.
• Be alert and assist in store security.
• Handle customer complaints professionally.
• Oversee hiring, discipline, transfer and evaluation of produce department staff.
• Train staff on price marking and customer courtesy to boost productivity.
• Supervise all aspects of salad bar operations.
• Coordinate staff schedules for maximum efficiency, including full- and part-time roles.
• Maintain neat, uniformed staff appearance and clear communication with store personnel.
• Direct receiving, storing, pricing and merchandising of produce.
• Maintain stock levels through proper ordering and inventory control.
• Submit records and reports; uphold cleanliness in all areas.
