Job summary

Lowes Foods, LLC is seeking a Bench Department Manager to supervise and ensure guest service, merchandising programs, and departmental operation within the produce department. After training, they are expected to fill a Department Manager role within 30 miles of their home.

The position emphasizes delivering friendly guest service, achieving sales budgets, and maintaining product quality, inventory, and safety standards across the department.

Qualifications

• Friendly, outgoing personality.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Effective communication and guest service skills.
• Knowledge of produce operations.
• Ability to supervise people including training and development.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. regularly and 25 lbs. constantly.

Responsibilities

• Ensure guests receive polite, friendly service from the produce/floral department staff.
• Achieve budgeted sales and profits for the produce/floral department.
• Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies.
• Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
• Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Lowes Foods standards.
• Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Lowes Foods standards.
• Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure produce department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
• Perform product preparation, receiving, conditioning, stocking and guest service as necessary to achieve standards.
• Maintain department's labor budget and scheduling standards.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
