Job summary

Walmart Inc. in LUFKIN, TX is seeking a Produce Department Lead to drive sales in your area and supervise hourly associates to deliver more for less. You will model expertise in Produce and work with other team leaders to meet member expectations.

The role emphasizes leadership, operations, and use of digital tools to plan for and execute the business plan while maintaining safety, inventory accuracy, and a clean, welcoming department for members.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months experience working in a fresh production department or 6 months experience supervising a team.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must successfully complete all job required trainings and assessments within a prescribed time period if you receive the position.
• Preferred qualifications include supervising a team.
• Food Handler Certification (Food Safety) - Certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team in Produce and Floral to deliver on the business plan and exceed member expectations.
• Communicate department goals and adhere to company programs and policies.
• Collaborate with other team leaders to ensure the total club meets member expectations.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of Produce operations, quality, inventory, sanitation, equipment usage, safety and compliance.
• Leverage digital tools to plan for and drive sales, improve the shopping experience and engage associates.
