Houchens Food Group is seeking a dedicated team member for our Sullivan, IN produce department. You will oversee daily operations including stocking, pricing, and maintaining product quality, while following established guidelines for personnel and safety.

You will manage schedules, assist with unloading deliveries, and ensure merchandise is rotated properly to maximize freshness and sales. This role requires physical stamina and strong teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifikationen

• Speak English fluently.
• Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to write legibly.
• Eyesight corrected to 20/20.
• Hearing corrected to normal range.
• Possess full range of motion on shoulders, arms, hands, legs and feet.

Aufgaben

• Achieves desired gross profit.
• Achieves desired level of productivity.
• Projects sales, product movement, labor needs.
• Orders product according to established guidelines.
• Receives and unloads truck deliveries using available equipment and according to established guidelines.
• Establishes daily work assignments and priorities for produce department personnel.
• Follows established guidelines in all personnel issues, interviewing, hiring, training, performance evaluation, discipline, discharge, etc.
• Follows established guidelines for completion of all required forms, records, reports and verify receipts.
• Prepares weekly work schedules according to established guidelines.
• Stocks and straightens merchandise and supplies.
• Using pricing/label gun, marks each item with the correct selling price.
• Rotates merchandise according to anticipated shelf life/product expiration dates.
• Performs basic housekeeping duties using available equipment, (mops, brooms, floor scrubbing and buffing machines, etc.).
• Operates all required tools and equipment in a safe manner except when restricted due to age.
• Standing and/or walking at a rapid pace for extended periods of time to perform essential job functions.
