Job summary

UnitedOK is seeking an Assistant Produce Department Manager at our Cash Saver Store in Sand Springs, OK. This part-time role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and offers $14.00 hourly pay.

You will assist in managing the Produce Department to maximize sales and maintain store conditions, while leading and training department staff. You will greet customers, handle questions, coordinate merchandising, supervise displays, and ensure timely ordering of products to avoid stockouts.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and ability to count.
• Ability to give/receive complex verbal instructions and follow store policies.
• Stable work and educational history.
• Ability to read and write English and understand product labels and order codes.
• Ability to judge merchandise placement, pricing, staffing, and promotional plans.
• Strong interpersonal communication with customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and respond to questions or complaints politely.
• Assist in hiring, discipline, promotions, and training of Produce Department staff.
• Maintain department displays and follow weekly merchandising plans and promotions.
• Supervise product display to ensure full, well-colored, rotated merchandise and adequate space for high-demand items.
• Oversee ordering of produce and supplies to minimize stockouts.
• Prepare backroom for receipt of goods and verify merchandise against invoices.
• Ensure department cleanliness, safety, and proper use of equipment.
• Communicate with management and staff and perform tasks as needed to run the department.
