Qualifications

• Basic math skills, including counting and basic calculations.
• Ability to stay calm and perform under pressure in a retail setting.
• Current food handler's permit is required upon employment.

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates with a positive attitude.
• Communicate department information to associates.
• Set department goals and empower the team to meet targets.
• Schedule to manage customer volume.
• Train and develop associates and participate in performance reviews.
• Answer questions and help customers within and beyond the department.
• Inform customers of produce specials and provide samples.
• Review product quality and freshness; take appropriate action.
• Develop and implement a department business plan to achieve results.
• Coordinate promotions with store management.
• Educate staff on promotions and in-store events.
• Prepare seasonal critiques for the supervisor.
