WEIS is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to lead daily Produce department operations, ensure product freshness, and deliver excellent customer service. The role involves coordinating merchandising, scheduling, inventory control, and maintaining backroom organization to support store goals.

The position requires overseeing shipments, enforcing pricing accuracy, and supporting the Produce Manager in their absence while driving department profitability and customer satisfaction.

Responsabilidades

• Promotes excellent customer relations by instilling positive customer focused behavior with associates.
• Takes customer orders over the phone or in person at the store with a pleasant and positive attitude.
• Ensures fresh quality merchandise by using proper product handling techniques.
• Assists Produce Manager in day-to-day functions of Produce operations and in their absence.
• Develops and implements merchandising plans that meet financial goals.
• Oversees department inventories by tracking weekly sales and supplies.
• Assists with scheduling department associates and training; delegates work accordingly.
• Manages inventory levels and backroom organization to meet customer demand.
• Checks deliveries and invoices for accurate billing and proper restocking.
• Controls department expenses, labor costs, and shrink; ensures correct recipes for prepared products.
