Job summary

Weis Markets is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to lead daily Produce operations, supervise staff, and uphold fresh, quality standards. You will partner with the Produce Manager to implement merchandising plans and ensure accurate pricing and inventory control.

You will train associates, schedule shifts, maintain logs, and drive excellent customer service. The role emphasizes teamwork, training, safety, and adherence to company policies while supporting store profitability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate or bachelor's degree in business related or food service-related field desirable.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in management in retail/restaurant/supermarket environment.

Responsibilities

• Promotes excellent customer relations by instilling positive customer focused behavior with associates.
• Smiles and greets customers, answers questions and helps resolve customer issues promptly.
• Assists Produce Manager in day-to-day functions of Produce operations such as merchandising, ad execution, associate engagement and customer service.
• Performs duties of Produce Manager in their absence.
• Develops and implements merchandising plans that meet financial goals.
