Job summary

ShopRite of Montgomery in Montgomery, NJ is seeking a Produce Manager to lead all functions of the Produce Department, ensuring safety, quality, and excellent customer service. You will supervise staff, manage displays, enforce pricing accuracy, and drive department sales and engagement.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and the ability to work across shifts while maintaining high standards of safety and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Reading, writing, speaking English required.
• Basic math proficiency required.
• Able to stand/walk for shift duration.
• Able to perform basic computer functions.
• Lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 60 lbs occasionally.
• Work in varied temperatures and tolerate dust/cleaning agents.
• Able to climb a ladder and interact with customers.
• Ability to lead and engage associates to meet goals.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise all Produce Department functions.
• Lead associates to achieve department goals.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and food handling compliance.
• Greet customers and provide courteous service.
• Maintain stock, pricing, and displays.
• Train and onboard new department staff.
• Operate within company safety policies and procedures.
• Support department budgeting and performance metrics.
