Job summary

Responsibilities

• Promote corporate brands to customers.
• Create a welcoming environment by answering questions about products in the department and store.
• Gain knowledge of products in the department and respond to questions and suggestions.
• Assist with the preparation of produce platters and trays.
• Inform customers of produce specials and promotions.
• Recommend items to meet customer needs and preferences.
• Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Maintain safety procedures and proper temperature controls in cases and coolers.
• Report safety risks or incidents to store management.
• Maintain a positive attitude and cover during busy times.
