Responsibilities

• Role model the 3A’s of Friendly: acknowledge, assist and appreciate our Customers
• Promote Corporate Brands to customers
• Promote trust and respect among associates
• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions
• Gain knowledge of products and respond to questions and suggestions
• Assist with preparation produce platters/trays
• Inform customers of produce specials
• Recommend items to ensure customers get what they want
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise
• Inspect products for quality and freshness and take action
• Report product discrepancies to the department manager
• Stay current with ads and promotions
• Ensure temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained
• Reinforce safety programs and identify unsafe conditions
• Inspect equipment and notify management of repairs
• Notify management of accidents and safety risks
• Report all safety risks or illegal activity to store management
• Handle high-paced situations and resolve conflicts professionally
• Follow directions and seek help when needed
• Provide support to customers including minors and older adults
