Job Summary

Sorts, displays, removes, and replenishes fresh fruits and vegetables in the produce department. Maintains the environment of the department by providing assistance to Members through product knowledge and customer service. Ensures all produce meets or exceeds company quality standards.

Members Responsibilities

• Deliver service excellence at all points of contact.
• Resolve and deescalate concerns.

• Ensure items are stocked, signage is accurate, and the environment is organized and clean.

Know Your Business

Access and interpret performance reports for your department and understand how consistent execution impacts the business.

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assist members with product questions, recommendations, and safe handling tips.
• Inspect, rotate, and store produce, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Rotate produce on the sales floor for freshness and variety.
• Maintain the produce reserve area, organize, and date all stock.
• Follow guidelines for disposing of damaged or expired products.
• Assist with inventory and order processing.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and display areas.
• Create signage and perform price checks to ensure accuracy.
• Adhere to all club policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned, including working in other departments.
• Maintain regular, predictable attendance.

Qualifications

• Experience in a produce department preferred.
• Knowledge of fruits and vegetables, including seasonal items.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Environmental Conditions

Frequent movement on hard surfaces, lifting objects up to 30 pounds, with assistance for heavier items. Work environment includes exposure to temperature extremes from freezers, ovens, and coolers.

Compensation

Starting at $16.75, based on location, education, experience, and qualifications.
