Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Produce Clerk to help keep the Produce Department stocked, fresh, and inviting while delivering friendly service to customers. You will rotate products, assist with deliveries, and ensure a high-quality shopping experience for guests.

This role emphasizes active, physical work, teamwork, and attention to sanitation and safety. Comprehensive training is provided, and the position supports quick, friendly service in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Less than high school diploma or equivalent experience accepted.
• Six months or less of similar or related work experience; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding customer service by greeting customers with a smile and assisting with their needs.
• Review merchandise for freshness and rotate stock to maintain quality.
• Ensure adequate product supply and anticipate daily needs for the department.
• Check in product, put away product, and review invoices as needed.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish products as necessary.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and practice proper sanitation.
• Assist with general department upkeep and trash removal.
• Order product and supplies and price products for customers as needed.
• Answer calls promptly and provide helpful service to customers.
• Follow Hy-Vee dress code and department guidelines.
