Job summary

Harps Food Stores is seeking a Produce Clerk to support department operations, inventory, and merchandising. You will help maintain cleanliness, stocking, and display standards while delivering friendly, efficient service to customers.

You will work with a team to ensure food safety, accurate pricing, and association with Harps’ mission of providing value, quality, and hospitality to shoppers.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years old.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Ability to interpret, understand and follow instructions.
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Produce Department Operations: readiness, staffing, supervision, price maintenance, policies and procedures, inventory preparation, cleanliness, and safe equipment use.
• Replenishment & Inventory Procedures: ordering, replenishment, receiving, invoicing, back stock, reclamation, returns, damages and reworks.
• Merchandising & Sales Floor Standards: stocking, rotation, signing, displays, sampling, and department procedures.
• Fresh Food Preparation & Production: maintaining food safety standards and service counters.
• Problem Solving: define issues clearly and use critical thinking to obtain answers.
• Safety/Quality Orientation: maintain high quality and safety standards for products and staff.
