Kroger seeks a dedicated team member in Fort Wayne, IN to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain a safe, clean environment that encourages customers to return. You will assist the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals and uphold quality assurance standards.

Role-model the 3A’s of Friendly, promote corporate brands, and foster trust among associates while ensuring customers receive helpful guidance on products. A current food handlers permit is required upon employment.

Formación

• Current food handlers permit once employed.
• Comparable Retail experience (Desired).

Responsabilidades

• Role model the 3A’s of Friendly: acknowledge, assist and appreciate our Customers.
• Promote Corporate Brands to customers.
• Promote trust and respect among associates.
• Create an environment that enables customers to feel welcome, important and appreciated by answering questions regarding products.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of products and respond to questions and suggest products.
• Assist with the preparation produce platters/trays.
• Inform customers of produce specials.
• Recommend items to customers to ensure they get the products they want and need.
• Adequately prepare, package, label and inventory merchandise.
• Review/inspect products for quality and freshness and take appropriate action.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Display a positive attitude.
• Stay current with present, future, seasonal and special ads.
• Ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and identify unsafe conditions.
• Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair.
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents.
• Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity to store management.
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment.
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner.
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues.
• Provide support and assistance through direct interaction with minors, individuals with special needs, and/or older adults.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
