Job summary

Meijer in Michigan is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver friendly customer service, share product knowledge, and maintain clean, well‑stocked Fresh departments for a positive store experience.

You will build connections with customers and teammates, stock and rotate items, use point-of-sale tech, and follow safety procedures in a fast paced environment. Every shift, your efforts help families put food on their tables and create moments of connection.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays

• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards

• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures

• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
