Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to provide outstanding customer service in our Fresh departments. You will build connections with customers, share product knowledge, and maintain clean, appealing displays across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.

Applicants should be friendly, adaptable, and comfortable using store technology. Prior retail or food service experience helps, and physical tasks are required on a fast-paced shift.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays

• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards

• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
