Job summary

North State Grocery in Meadow Vista, CA is seeking a produce associate to provide world famous friendly customer service while stocking, trimming, and rotating fresh produce. This role supports merchandising, loading, and maintaining cold storage areas to ensure product quality.

The ideal candidate will follow written and verbal instructions, recognize produce items and case labels, and uphold safety and cleanliness standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Store, rotate and break down loads to proper areas- cooler or backroom.
• Transport product to sales floor for filling.
• Culling off quality or out of code product and rotate new product onto display.
• Trim and crisp lettuce, celery, and other wet, perishable product.
• Observe policies and procedures established for the department.
• Continuing education of product identification uses and handling.
• Keep work area clean- follow cleaning schedule.
• Follow company dress code.
• Follow safe handling practices for knives and cutters.
• Follow safe lifting practices.
• Follow productivity guidelines as set by the Produce Manager.
• Abide by all company policies as stated in the employee handbook.

Job Summary

To Provide World Famous Friendly Customer Service to Customers, Team Members & Outside Vendors. Merchandising, Filling, Stocking, Breaking Down & Storing Loads, Culling Product, Rotating Product, Preparation of Product, Trimming, Crisping etc...

Essential Job Functions:
