Job Description
What You'll Do:
As a Produce Clerk, your responsibilities include:
- Engage with Guests: Provide outstanding customer service in-person and via phone, assist in finding items, take special requests, and resolve guest concerns.
- Maintain Stock Levels: Keep items well-stocked and properly displayed, rotate products using FIFO to ensure freshness.
- Ensure Cleanliness & Food Safety: Keep the sales floor and cooler clean and organized, log produce temperatures, and complete rotation and shrink sheets daily.
- Maintain Supplies & Produce Cooler: Ensure availability of supplies like bags and ties, rotate cooler items, and order specific products as needed.
- Teamwork: Support team operations as needed.
- Honor Commitments: Maintain regular, timely attendance and notify management in case of absences.
What We're Looking For:
Ideal candidates will have:
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to engage and assist guests effectively.
- Communication: Strong oral and written skills.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safety policies and ability to recognize hazards, using equipment properly.
- Knowledge: Understanding of retail food operations and perishables.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Must be able to perform essential duties, including:
- Lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Full upper body mobility.
- Working at a fast pace.
- Exposure to extreme temperatures.
Work Schedule:
- This is a part-time role, up to 28 hours per week.
- Shifts vary and may include weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
