Responsibilities

• Help the department manager reach sales and profit goals for the department.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment encouraging customers to return.
• Answer questions about products sold within the department and throughout the store.
• Label, stock and inventory department merchandise; review/inspect products for quality and freshness.
• Report product ordering/shipping discrepancies to the department manager.
• Monitor temperatures in cases and coolers and maintain temperature logs.
• Reinforce safety programs by complying with safety procedures and notifying management of unsafe conditions.
• Assist with preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and reporting needed repairs.
• Provide friendly, helpful service to customers and associates, including minors and seniors.
