Job summary

Smith's Food and Drug in Herriman, Utah seeks a customer-focused associate to deliver exceptional service and maintain a safe, clean store environment. You will support the department manager in achieving sales and profit goals, and uphold QA standards while embodying our Customer 1st strategy.

Responsibilities include assisting customers, maintaining product knowledge, stocking and inventorying merchandise, and communicating safety procedures to staff.

• Practice preventive maintenance by properly inspecting equipment and notify appropriate department or store manager of any items in need of repair
• Notify management of customer or employee accidents
• Report all safety risks or issues, and illegal activity, including: robbery, theft or fraud to store management
• Ability to work cooperatively in high paced and sometimes stressful environment
• Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, nonconfrontational and cooperative manner
• Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information
• Ability to follow directions and seek assistance when necessary to resolve customer and business issues
