PRODUCE/CLERK (Finance)

Minimum Position Qualifications:
  • Ability to handle stressful situations
  • Effective communication skills
  • Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, and subtraction)
  • Current food handler’s permit upon employment
Desired Previous Job Experience:
  • Comparable retail experience
  • Second language skills (speaking, reading, and/or writing)
Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote corporate brands to customers

  • Create a welcoming environment by answering product questions and making recommendations
  • Assist with preparing produce platters/trays
  • Inform customers of produce specials and promotions
  • Recommend products to meet customer needs
  • Properly prepare, package, label, and inventory merchandise
  • Inspect products for quality and freshness, and take appropriate action
  • Label, stock, and inventory department merchandise
  • Report product discrepancies to management
  • Maintain a positive attitude
  • Stay informed about current, upcoming, seasonal, and promotional ads
  • Ensure proper temperature maintenance in cases and coolers, and keep logs
  • Follow safety procedures, identify unsafe conditions, and notify management
  • Practice preventive maintenance and report equipment issues
  • Report customer or employee accidents and safety risks
  • Report illegal activities such as theft or fraud
  • Perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations
