Summary

Meat Wrappers are responsible for guest relations and satisfaction. They perform duties including weighing, wrapping, pricing, labeling products, rotating stock, maintaining signage, following sanitation standards, and stocking the meat counter and freezer.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and engage guests upon entry.
• Weigh, tray, wrap, and price poultry, meat, and fish products.
• Ensure proper merchandising, signage, inventory levels, and department appearance.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment according to standards.
• Control shrink and expenses through proper handling and labeling.
• Assist with receiving, organizing, and rotating products in the cooler.
• Occasionally work at the butcher block.
• Follow daily work schedules and dress code.
• Adhere to attendance and tardiness policies.
• Maintain the fresh meat counter as directed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Key Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, squat, climb, and walk.
• Operate equipment like scales, wrapping machines, slicers, and hand trucks.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work in controlled temperature environments.
• Exposure to cold temperatures and potential hazards.
• Knowledge of product handling, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to accept coaching and work as part of a team.
