Job summary

FOOD GIANT SUPERMARKETS INC is seeking a Produce Clerk to support the Produce Manager in daily operations of the department in Bloomington, IN. This full-time role focuses on merchandising, inventory, pricing and customer service.

Responsibilities include ordering, rotating stock, and maintaining the display while ensuring a clean, attractive sales floor. Shift schedules will be arranged to best serve customers, with nights and weekends possible.

Qualifications

• Less than high school education.
• No prior experience necessary.
• Basic computer skills as needed.
• Must posess basic math skills.

• Responsible for overall appearance and eye appeal of sales floor.
• Assist Produce Manager in ordering all produce.
• Assist Produce Manager in keeping cooler dates, organized and properly rotated.
• Assist Produce Manager in calling in credits within the allowed time.
• Assist Produce Manager with the four week period end produce inventory.
• Assist Produce Manager with recording and maintaining accurate bookkeeping systems including but not limited to weekly and monthly produce purchases.
• Provide excellent customer service, including but not limited to friendly courteous and prompt customer service.
• Other job related task as needed.

Position Summary
