Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a part-time Produce Associate in Goshen, Indiana to maintain and operate the produce department to company standards. Responsibilities include trimming, labeling, stocking, and assisting with deliveries while ensuring safety and guest experiences are prioritized.

You will work with fresh fruits and vegetables, follow established guidelines, and contribute to a clean, well-stocked department. Prior retail experience and attention to detail are valued assets for this role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (GED) preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Cut, slice, and prepare produce as directed; follow procedures for culling, trimming and storing product.
• Weigh, package and label products.
• Handle spoiled/damaged products per guidelines.
• Fill, rotate and merchandise shelves; assist with unloading deliveries and stocking.
• Notify Manager if products and supplies need ordering.
• Practice suggestive selling techniques with customers.
• Familiarize with all products; know price, taste, preparation, use, etc.
• Maintain clean, attractive and well stocked departments.
• Follow PPE, safety, food safety and cleaning guidelines.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
• May be assigned tasks in other departments as needed.
• Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
