Position Overview

Base pay range: $17.00/hr - $24.00/hr. This range is provided by Sam's Club. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

What you’ll do
  • Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the products; collaborate with cross-functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively; develop interpersonal skills for customer service; work in other areas as needed; track goods; maintain in-stock levels; and control shrinkage in a timely manner.
  • Be an Expert: Understand processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise; prepare products according to established standards; maintain product safety and sanitation; adhere to laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality.
  • Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Be an Owner: Drive performance of the area; utilize digital tools; manage stock with perpetual inventory techniques; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; assist customers per company policies and procedures.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and club by valuing the member experience; model high quality service and products; demonstrate energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; use Open Door Policy; apply these in business processes and practices.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborates with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; identifies priorities and deadlines; communicates progress; identifies opportunities for improvement; adapts to change and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $24.00. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in certain circumstances (e.g., schedule, facility, season, or tasks).
