You will make an impact by:

  • Maintaining a positive attitude by smiling, greeting and thanking members
  • Providing exceptional customer service to members across the club as needed, answering any questions they may have
  • Maintaining a clean, neat, and member-ready area
  • Receiving & stocking merchandise in an organized manner
  • Maintaining inventory so that there is no out of stock and over-stock products

What you'll do
  • Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the products; collaborate with cross functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service; be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas, track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage in a timely manner.
  • Be an Expert: Understand processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise; prepare (trim, crisp, package, scale) products according to established standards; maintain product safety and sanitation guidelines; adhere to laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality.
  • Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Be an Owner: Drive the performance of the area; use digital tools; use perpetual inventory management to stock and rotate department products; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; guide peers and assist customers according to company policies and procedures.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member's experience; model high quality service and products; exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; implement related action plans; use Open Door Policy in executing business processes.
  • Completes work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; identify and address improvement opportunities; adapt to change and feedback.

Live Better U is a company paid education benefit program for associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.
