Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products; collaborate with cross-functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively and provide customer service; be flexible to business needs and assist in other areas as needed; track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage.
  • Be an Expert: Understand quality processes and specifications related to produce (e.g., taste, preparation method, seasonality); prepare products to established standards; maintain product safety and sanitation; adhere to laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality.
  • Be a Techie: Use digital tools to drive sales and improve the shopping experience; use handheld technology to make decisions about production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Be an Owner: Drive the performance of the area; manage inventory, stock and rotate department products; ensure quality and date control; eliminate waste; assist customers per company policies.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high quality service and products; demonstrate energy, commitment, and passion for the work; advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member experience in the meat area.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and ethics; uphold Open Door Policy and apply these in business processes.
  • Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and partners; set priorities and deadlines; communicate progress and opportunities for improvement.
