What you'll do

• Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the products; collaborate with cross functional teams and help educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively and develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service; be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas, track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage in a timely manner.
• Be an Expert: Understand the processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise (for example, taste, preparation method or use, seasonality); prepare (trim, crisp, package, scale) products according to established standards; maintain product safety and follow sanitation guidelines; adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality.
• Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use hand held technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
• Be an Owner: Drive the performance of the area; use digital tools; manage inventory to stock and rotate department products; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; guide peers and respond to customer needs; assist customers according to company policies and procedures.
• Be a Talent Ambassador: Model high quality service and products; exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work; comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans and applying the Open Door Policy.

Additional compensation

The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $25.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives and potential premiums based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed.
