Responsibilities
  • Be a Team Member: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the products; collaborate with cross-functional teams; educate other associates on tools, tasks, and resources; communicate effectively; develop interpersonal skills for providing customer service; be flexible to the needs of the business to work in other areas, track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage in a timely manner.
  • Be an Expert: Understand processes and specifications related to quality of various types of produce merchandise (taste, preparation method or use, seasonality); prepare products according to established standards; maintain product safety and follow sanitation guidelines; adhere to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to produce quality.
  • Be a Techie: Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them.
  • Be an Owner: Drive the performance of the area; utilize digital tools; stock and rotate department products using perpetual inventory management techniques; ensure quality and date control standards; eliminate waste; assist customers according to company policies and procedures.
  • Be a Talent Ambassador: Value the member's experience in the department; model high quality service and products; exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity; implement related action plans; utilize the Open Door Policy in executing business processes.
  • Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co-workers, customers, and other partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress and information; identify improvement opportunities and adapt to change and feedback.

The hourly wage range for this position is $16.00 to $23.00. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location.
