Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Produce-Floral Manager in Philadelphia to lead inventory control, pricing integrity and daily operations in the Produce department. You will drive efficiency, quality and guest satisfaction while upholding The Fresh Market standards.

You’ll coach team members, manage ordering and rotation, ensure proper receiving and stock, and coordinate specialty produce items and ready-made solutions. A minimum of 3 years in retail or hospitality management is required.

Qualifications

• 3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality.
• Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics of the department for merchandising.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Must be at least 18 years old

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and proactively assist them with recommendations and requests.
• Manage ordering deadlines, reduce shrink and damage.
• Receive and stock goods following rotation standards.
• Direct teams to handle, slice, and prepare produce items and meal solutions.

About The Position

As the Produce-Floral Manager, you are taking the lead in managing department inventory, pricing integrity and other operational processes that require significant attention to detail. This is a fast-paced position that requires efficiency and effectiveness and a passion for excellence to deliver results.

What You\'ll Do

• Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely service recommendations and accommodating their special requests
• Managing order guides/ordering deadlines/reducing shrink/damage
• Properly receiving/stocking of goods that follow rotation standards when replenishing product levels
• Direct teams to handle, slice, and prepare specialty produce items, fruit and veggie platters/trays and Convenient Meal Solutions throughout the day, while maintaining quality product levels as indicated within TFM standards.
• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members "on-the-job" as well as through The Fresh Market's internal training platform to provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner

Availability

This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.
