Job summary

The Fresh Market Inc is seeking a Produce-Floral Manager in Greensboro, NC to lead department inventory, pricing integrity, and daily operational processes. This fast-paced role demands attention to detail and a drive for excellence in grocery merchandising.

You will greet guests, manage ordering deadlines, and ensure proper receiving, stocking, and rotation of products while guiding team members to prepare specialty produce items and meal solutions with high quality.

Qualifications

• 3 years of retail, restaurant, or hospitality management experience is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow merchandising planograms and department layouts.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and provide accurate, timely service and recommendations.
• Manage ordering deadlines, shrink reduction, and product rotation.
• Receive, stock, and rotate goods to maintain stock levels and shelf integrity.
• Direct teams to prepare specialty produce items and ready-to-eat solutions while maintaining quality.
• Coach and train team members on-the-job and through internal training platforms.

About the Position:

As the Produce-Floral Manager, you are taking the lead in managing department inventory, pricing integrity and other operational processes that require significant attention to detail. This is a fast-paced position that requires efficiency and effectiveness and a passion for excellence to deliver results.

What You'll Do:

• Greet guests and proactively assist them in a friendly manner with accurate and timely service recommendations and accommodating their special requests


• Managing order guides/ordering deadlines/reducing shrink/damage


• Properly receiving/stocking of goods that follow rotation standards when replenishing product levels


• Direct teams to handle, slice, and prepare specialty produce items, fruit and veggie platters/trays and Convenient Meal Solutions throughout the day, while maintaining quality product levels as indicated within TFM standards.

• Engage, motivate, coach, and train team members “on-the-job” as well as through The Fresh Market’s internal training platform to provide excellent guest service in a safe and secure manner

Availability:

This position requires the willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications:

At a minimum, what you’ll need:

• 3 years of management experience in retail, restaurant, or hospitality field


• Ability to read, understand and follow planograms, layouts, and schematics of the department for merchandising


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Must be at least 18 years old
