Job summary

The Manitowoc Company is seeking a Product Support Sales Representative at the Dallas, TX branch to identify new parts and service sales opportunities. You will quote and follow up with accounts, support internal departments, and help grow replacement parts and repair revenue.

This full-time role requires extensive travel (80%) within the territory, strong customer focus, and the ability to coordinate with Parts and Service Managers to meet monthly sales goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 3+ years sales experience preferred in construction equipment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Self-disciplined with strong customer service and interpersonal skills; proactive in gaining clientele.
• Knowledge of Crane Equipment (ATs, RTs, Crawlers, etc.) preferred.
• Clean driving record with ability to travel; 80% daily travel; some overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a sales program within the area to maximize selling time.
• Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing customers; set up new vendors.
• Inform customers of supply and price trends; renew orders and coordinate delivery dates.
• Provide technical support, operator and maintenance orientation for new equipment.
• Work with Parts and Service Managers to achieve monthly sales goals.
• Deliver welcome packets within 1 week of product delivery.

The Product Support Sales Representative (PSSR) is a professional salesperson possessing an in-depth knowledge of the company and its products, services and support programs; meeting with customers and prospects to identify new opportunities for parts and/or service sales and works closely with both Parts and Service Managers to quote and follow-up with new and existing accounts.

This position will be located at the Dallas, TX branch for MGX Equipment Services and reports to the Branch Manager.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintains a sales program within the area based on customer requirements; organizes territory in order to maximize selling time.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with new and existing customers; sets up new vendors.
• Informs customers of supply and price trends.
• Secures and renews orders and arranges delivery dates.
• Supports internal sales, service and parts departments.
• Assists with past due account balances.
• Performs inspections on cranes as per request by customers and/or insurance companies; completes inspections on time and discusses results with customer.
• Compiles and prepares lists and labor estimates for quotes.
• Provides customers with technical support; provides operator and maintenance orientation on new equipment; ensures scheduled maintenance is performed in a timely manner.
• Researches and delivers parts to customers.
• Works closely with Parts and Service Managers to accomplish monthly sales goals.
• Increases sales of replacement parts and solicits revenue repair work on equipment.
• Provides exceptional customer support through timely communications and excellent service.
• Follows up on sales calls.
• Delivers welcome packet within 1 week of delivery of a new or used product.
• Subject matter expert on complete product line in area of responsibility.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required with a minimum of three (3) years of sales experience preferred within the construction equipment industry.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Must be self-disciplined and have exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills with a proactive approach to gaining clientele.
• Knowledge of Crane Equipment (i.e., ATs, RTs, Crawlers, etc.) preferred.
• Must have clean driving record with the ability to travel. Travel: 80% daily travel within assigned territory; occasional overnight travel required.

Working Conditions

This is a full-time position with typical working hours between 7:00 am to 4:00 pm. Overtime and weekend work may be possible based on business conditions.

Pay

This position offers a pay range between $50,000-$65,000 annually plus variable compensation. Pay is provided on a bi-weekly basis and there are 14 days in the pay period, beginning on a Monday and ending on a Sunday.
