WideNet Consulting Group is partnering with a client to lead a Procurement Operations & Process Improvement Specialist role focused on transforming the procurement function. You will guide high-visibility initiatives, drive governance, and build a Center of Excellence with training and measurement capabilities.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in procurement operations, P2P, supply chain, or procurement excellence roles.
• Track record of improving procurement compliance and operational performance with measurable outcomes.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills — able to drive change without formal authority.
• Experience developing SOPs, training materials, and operational documentation.
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Background in indirect procurement and shared services support environments.
• P2P and accounts payable process expertise.
• Experience improving spend compliance and reducing match exceptions.
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms.

Responsibilities

• Reduce Off-Contract & Non-Compliant Spend by identifying sources of spend leakage and non-PO activity, and designing remediation strategies.
• Drive Down Match Exceptions by partnering with buyers to resolve invoice/PO match issues and diagnose root causes.
• Optimize the Procurement Operating Model by clarifying roles, workflows, escalation paths, and improving consistency across activities.
• Build a Procurement Center of Excellence by leading roadshows, training, and educating stakeholders on policy and process.
• Lead Change & Track Results by running meetings, developing communications, and building dashboards to measure adoption and impact.
