Job summary

Sterling Industrial LLC is seeking a Procurement Support Engineer based in Phoenix, AZ, to back the SRP Pumped Storage Project. You will help prepare material requisitions, technical specifications, bid packages, and coordinate vendor inputs with discipline engineers.

Under the Engineering Procurement Lead, you will confirm procurement deliverables meet project schedules, quality requirements, and applicable codes, while interfacing with suppliers and project controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 10–12 years of engineering experience including procurement support on large infrastructure/EPC projects.
• Experience preparing MR/technical specs/datasheets and procurement documentation.
• Familiarity with EPC delivery and engineering-procurement-construction interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support the development of MRs, specs, datasheets, and procurement documentation.
• Coordinate inputs from discipline engineering for procurement packages.
• Ensure procurement deliverables are technically accurate and aligned with project requirements.
• Review vendor proposals for compliance with project specifications and requirements.
• Support Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE) and evaluation matrices.
• Identify deviations and compliance gaps in vendor submissions.
• Monitor procurement packages against project schedules and milestones.
• Promote safety-in-design and ensure regulatory compliance.
