Job summary

Talentify in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead end-to-end procurement and supply chain activities for a high‑volume manufacturing facility, focusing on strategic sourcing, supplier management, and production planning.

You will optimize costs, improve delivery reliability, and build scalable processes across warehousing and logistics while partnering with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to align supply chain with plant needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years combined procurement, planning, and/or logistics or warehouse experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
• Experience with procurement management, including sourcing strategies and supplier management.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, warehouse management and logistics in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with ERP systems; SAP experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to lead and develop teams in a supply chain or warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities across categories including sourcing, supplier selection, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
• Develop and implement procurement strategies that support operational goals, cost optimization, and long-term business objectives.
• Identify and execute cost-saving opportunities through total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis and cross-functional collaboration.
• Own production planning and scheduling in coordination with Operations to align materials and capacity with demand.
• Lead receiving, warehousing, and shipping operations, including inbound/outbound logistics, freight and carrier management, and on-time delivery.
• Manage inventory levels, cycle counts, and warehouse accuracy across raw materials, work in progress (WIP), and finished goods.
• Supervise and develop the planning, warehousing, and shipping/receiving teams across shifts.
• Ensure compliance with safety, DOT, export and customs requirements in logistics and warehouse activities.
